The Pooch Patio is a free-play environment. As always, with the interaction of dogs of different sizes, breeds, sex and temperaments, there are inherent risks which even when monitored, may result in injury. As the owner, you assume all risks, including but not limited to behavior problems, the transfer of communicable diseases such as "kennel cough," "puppy warts," or parasites and injuries such as sore or ripped pads, broken nails, unsheathed nails, puncture wounds, abrasions, cuts and communicable illnesses.

Our experienced, professional groomers use extreme care to groom all dogs in a safe, humane and professional manner. There is a chance that your dog can sustain an injury while on the table which includes but is not limited to: a nick, cut, mark, razor burn from the scissors or clippers or brush burn. (Clean face and clean feet can cause irritation until the dogs skin becomes accustomed to this short cut. The client is responsible for any irritation that occurs.) In some instances, muzzling or humanely restraining your dog in order to perform a particular service may be required. I understand that a $25 Muzzle/Handling fee will be charged for dogs that deliberately try to bite the groomer or are unmanageable without the muzzle. Should my pet(s) not be able to be bathed or groomed even with a muzzle, I will be called to collect my (pet) s and I will only be accountable to pay fees for services performed. It is our right to decline further services. Should any injuries be found on my pet after pickup, I will contact the facility within twenty four hours.

We do not accept pets for overnight boarding that require Subcutaneous fluid administration. We will however offer RT pet transport to/from your veterinarian during their stay for any necessary administrations.

Yes, we require that all boarding pets stay on their regular dietary regimine to minimize digestive discomfort. If you do not provide pre-measured bags, a $25 fee will be assessed for us to do this.

We have a large variety of foods in our Bark Boutique retail store, however if we do not carry your brand, we can either do a pet taxi to the closest retailer that does carry that brand and bill you for the cost of the food and the pet taxi service on your bill, OR we are happy to offer to feed your pet our house food billed per feeding.

We happily dose up to two medications per pet complimentary. An additional fee may be added for additional medications. We ask that you bring any pull packets, peanut butter, cheese or lunch meat to dose your pet. We do not do injections or subcutaneous fluids.

If your dog is boarding in a suite, you may bring a bed for them that has a remove-able cover for us to be able to launder should it be necessary. We will evaluate the extent of matting and if any part of the coat is able to be brushed out without it hurting the dog in the process, and as long as it is humane, we will happily de-matt the pup. We charge $1.25 per minute to de-matt. If the matting is too severe and not recommended, the groomer will acquire verbal authorization prior to the dog getting on the groom table to shave down the pet’s coat completely with clippers. Heavily pelted coats, requiring shave down, will have an added fee based on the weight of the dog. We are not responsible for agitated skin due to hair matting, “pink skin” due to sensitivity, welts, or clipper abrasions as a result of having to shave the hair down to the skin leaving 1/8” or less.

This service is included in the “top dog” groom for all breeds that grow excessive hair in their ears. The Pooch Patio is not responsible for any irritation or ear infection that develops following the removal of ear hair. Clients need to monitor their dog’s ears following treatment for signs of an irritation or redness.

To trim a dog's nails, there are two options. The first is nail clipping which is done using traditional nail clippers and the second option uses a Dremmel tool with a special attachment which files the nails down to a more smooth and round surface. Most dogs prefer the nail dremmel although the noise of the dremmel may initially scare them.

We do external anal gland expression with all grooming services and requested bath services. Internal expressions are performed specifically by veterinarians due to risk of ruptures and complications.
